MIPP DONATES PHOTOS TO MATER DEI HOSPITAL
The Malta Institute of Professional Photography (MIPP) has donated 21 photographs to Mater Dei Hospital. The Photographs, which were donated by MIPP members have been placed on display in the main corridor of the hospital. While they do not follow a specific theme, the institute stated that the images were intended to give a sense of positivity, peace and calm. The Minister of Health, the Elderly and Community Care, the Hon. Joe Cassar, accepted the donation on behalf of the staff of Mater Dei and the Maltese and Gozitan people.
Saying a few words during the presentation, the Minister thanked the Malta Institute of Professional Photography and stated that, "these photographs are giving a positive image not only to the hospital but to the health care community in Malta.”
Mr Kevin Casha, president of the MIPP, thanked all those members and sponsors who contributed towards this presentation and urged other Institutions to follow suit and donate artworks to hospitals and similar worthy institutions.

MIPP Event - World Photographers' Day 2010
Details:
Since 2009, the 19th August has been designated as World Photographers’ Day.
This year, the 19th August will fall on a Thursday. The MIPP is suggesting that we should all take time off our busy schedules to do some photography for photography's sake while spending an evening with fellow enthusiasts and taking images for our private portfolios.
In this respect, the MIPP has come up with the idea of meeting up at the Riviera Martinique Car Park at 1800hrs, gear in hand. We will spend some time photographing this beautiful area at sundown, and finally head off to a bar at one of the bays to 'enjoy the craig' in the magnificent surroundings of Ghajn Tuffieha Bay, relaxing in the knowledge that this is our day.
Those of you who might want to take a dip are obviously very welcome to do so. Our only recommendation is to limit the swimming to your body rather than extend it to your gear.
So, what are waiting for? Book the date and treat yourself. You deserve it!
